The Rotary Club of Mystic has three (3) major fundraisers each year to support and fund their charitable efforts.

On August 14 & 15, 2010, the Rotary Club of Mystic sold Del's Lemonade at the annual Mystic Outdoor Art Festival and will again sell Del's Lemonade at the upcoming Taste of Mystic to be held Friday, September 10-12, 2010 on Cottrell Street in downtown Mystic, CT.

The largest fundraiser of the three is the annual Lobster Days event held each Memorial Day weekend at the Mystic Seaport, Mystic, CT.  All net proceeds from the event are distributed to local charities and scholarships supported by the Club.

Lobsters in the rough are prepared and served by The Rotary Club of Mystic members.  Lobster platters are served picnic-style under Mystic Seaport's open-air Boat Shed where diners can watch boats cruising on the Mystic River and enjoy musical entertainment.

This year's Lobster Days will be held May 28-30, 2011.  Continue to watch this website and/or the website of the Mystic Seaport at www.mysticseaport.or/lobsterdays for updated information and to buy tickets online for the event.  Special pricing for "combination tickets" for the lobster dinner and Seaport admission will be posted closer to the event date.

What Does The Rotary Club Do With The Money It Raises?

Each year the Club raises and donates thousands of dollars.  The policy of the Club is to donate 65% to local non-profit agencies, 15% for college scholarships, 10% for international aid and 10% to the Rotary Foundation.

Standing next to Susan is Kacie Williams who is the Office Manager of the Groton Office of Liberty Bank. This drive was for the needy at Thanksgiving. Our contribution was part of the overall $32,000 raised by Liberty Bank. Other local Rotary Clubs were participants in this drive.
