The Rotary Club of Mystic is part of Rotary International; there are 1,222,293 Rotarians in 34,118 Rotary Clubs in 530 Districts, in over 200 countries and geographic territories on all 7 continents (as of 04/04/2011).
The mission of Rotary International, a wordwide association of Rotary clubs, is to: Provide service to others, Promote high ethical standards, and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through it's fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.
It is an honor to be our Club's president and I am confident that with the hard work of all our members during the yeaar our Club will continue to be an active participant helping our community. We support nonprofit organizations in Mystic-Groton, Mystic-Stonington and Pawcatuck. We do not only help our community working hard to obtain funds to give Scholarships, or support different causes, we also give hundreds of hours of labor to contribute to projects throughout the area during the year.
Our theme this year is: "Reach Within to Embrace Humanity". As the President of our club I have to tell you that to be a Rotarian is more than a membership in a Club. A Rotarian is a person who when he or she arrives to a place he or she assess the situation and immediately helps when needed. A Rotarian is a person thet gives the most important gift that a person has to give. A Rotarian gives of herself or himself. Therefore, I am proud of being a Rotarian, please come and join us and be one of us. Join our community through the Rotary Club of Mystic.
