The Rotary Club of Mystic Seeks Grant Applications
The Rotary Club of Mystic raises money through its well known Lobster Days during Memorial Day weekend at Mystic Seaport. Rotary also sells Del's Lemonade at the Mystic Arts Festival and the Taste of Mystic. All proceeds from these events support the Club's grant program as well as providing scholarships for area high school graduates.
Twice a year, the Mystic Club donates funds to local non-profit agencies, primarily serving the Groton, Mystic, Stonington area. Organizations are encouraged to apply for grants in the range of $250 to $1,000. Applications are reviewed on the basis of need, number of clients and area served.
(All applications, regardless of amount requested, will be assessed individually). Applications must be postmarked on or before March 31st or October 31st.

Grant Awards for 2011
The Rotary Club of Mystic during the past year awarded $14,486 in grants to local organizations in an effort to enhance the education, health, and welfare of the community. In total, 25 agencies received funding in response to their grant requests. The many recipients included the Fitch High School robotics Team, the Groton Animal Foundation, Lighthouse Voc-Ed, Mystic Community Bikes, the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, Ocean Community YMCA -Mystic Branch, Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, Riverfront Children's Center, St. Mark's Toddler Play Group, and WARM.
The Rotary Club provides hundred of volunteer hours to many community services and through its annual fund raising events returns over $20,000 to the local area in the form of grants and scholarships.
The current spring cycle is in progress. Applications are due on or before March 31, 2012.
